Can you possibly imagine a better location for watching a blockbuster movie, seeing your Porsche family of friends and showing off your Porsche than on historic grounds, behind a historic mansion, and under the stars? Let’s drive our Porsches and line them up for a People’s Choice competition before the movie starts. This event is open to the public, our Porsche's will have a section of the parking lot in the front to display our cars.
The large movie screen is set up behind the Manor house, there is plenty of space to set up lawn chairs or to spread out on a blanket. All visitors are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the gardens - there is plenty of parking, super clean restrooms, food trucks, frogs, manicured lawns, fireflies and stars!
The Belmont Blockbusters Summer Movie Nights is a free event sponsored by Howard County. There is no admission to enter the park, or the lawn to watch a summer movie. Even the ambiance of lighting provided by charming fireflies is complimentary.
The screenings start at sundown, but you may arrive early to enjoy the gardens and a picnic with family and friends. Do bring bug spray, however, it is outdoors with some standing water nearby! If you don't bring your own food or beverages, there are two food trucks featuring burgers, hotdogs, sodas, water, and various snacks for sale until 8:30.
Four events are planned this summer (third Thursdays). Each movie night is a separate registration.
August 15th - Captain America
September 19th - Alladin or Princess Bride
October 17th – Halloween themed

When: August 15, 2024, Thursday
Gates open: 7:00pm, People's Choice from 7 to 7:45pm, movie starts at sunset
Meeting point: Belmont Manor, 6555 Belmont Woods Road, Elkridge, MD 21075
End of social: 10:30pm
Cost: Members are responsible for their own dinner and beverages (bring your own or purchase from food trucks). Registration is free and required for planning purposes.
