Event requirements
1. Safety Equipment for PCA DE: Head and Neck Restraints Required for all Drivers and Passengers on Harness-equipped Vehicles
Note: This change has been dictated by a directive from PCA National for 2019. Head & Neck Restraints are required for five or six-point harnesses. Also, the same type of restraint system is required for both driver and passenger. Harnesses are required to be SFI or FIA approved for competition and mounted in the manufacturer approved configuration. Any harness approved for club racing is acceptable when installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Evidence of this approval shall be provided by the driver, if necessary. If you are running stock/DOT approved 3 point restraint system (stock seat belts) additional head and neck restraints are not required. SAR will not rent/provide head and neck restraint systems. Participants must provide their own systems if required.
2. Other safety Equipment.
Vehicle safety requirements apply to both Porsche and non-Porsche cars alike.
Vehicle safety equipment is determined by the Make/Model and level of performance modifications.
Figuring it out has now been made so much easier with a spreadsheet. http://www.zone8.org/events/rules/current.php
(If you get a "file in use" message, just click "read only")
Do not arrive without the appropriate safety equipment fitted to your car.
3. Required PCA-SAR Tech Inspection https://pcasar.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/tech-form_April-2020.pdf
Complete the inspection yourself, if you are qualified and you have the appropriate equipment, or take your car to a shop.
Don't forget to bring the completed form with you.
4. A valid State Driver's License must be presented/showed at the event registration desk.
5. No registration at the track.
6. Currently Snell 2015 or newer Helmets are required at all PCA Track Driving Events.
